By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Use. If you do not wish to be bound by these Terms of Use, you may not access or use the Website.

Use of Portal Tools
The alumni Portal includes a messaging and collaboration platform that allows Brownstein alumni to communicate with Brownstein and with each other. We give you tools to communicate with others one-on-one (“messaging”), and to other authorized users of the Portal (“posting”). The information you create and upload to the Portal is User Content.
Brownstein prohibits certain uses of the Portal. You may not use the Portal to send any unsolicited advertising or promotional materials or collect the email addresses or other contact information of other users from the Portal for the purpose of sending commercial messages.
Unless we have given you express written consent, you may not reverse engineer the Portal or do anything to circumvent measures employed to prevent or limit access to part of the Portal, except as expressly permitted by law. Likewise, you may not use automated means to access or manipulate the Portal or content (such as using bots, crawlers, scripts, or auto-responders), or develop any third-party application that interacts with the Portal.
Community Standards
We encourage users of the Portal to treat each other with respect. Ultimately, however, each user is solely responsible for their interactions with others. Brownstein has no responsibility or liability with respect to any online or offline interactions.
We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor interactions between you and other users of our Portal. Please use your best judgment and keep safety in mind when you use the Portal and interact with others. We may publish additional community standards, which you agree to abide by as part of these Terms of Service. In particular, however, you agree not to:

Your Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights.
Your Content
For Brownstein to provide the Portal, you must grant certain permissions to your User Content.
By posting to or using the Portal, you grant Brownstein a nonexclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, transferable, and fully sub-licensable right to store, reproduce (for the purposes of storage), modify (in formating or through compression), host, publish (to effectuate any sharing you specify), and distribute (to effectuate any sharing you specify) your User Content.
For User Content in messages, group discussions and posts, you grant Brownstein a nonexclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, transferable, and fully sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, host, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute (as directed by you), publicly perform or display your User Content within the parameters of the messaging, group discussion, or posting function of the Portal.
To terminate this license, delete your User Content or your account. Please note that if your User Content was shared with and then downloaded or saved by others, those copies may still exist after deletion.
Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) Notice
Pursuant to 17 U.S.C. Section 512, as amended by Title II of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (the “Act”), Brownstein reserves the right, but not the obligation, to terminate your right to use the Services if Brownstein determines in its sole and absolute discretion that you are involved in any activity that may be infringing, including alleged acts of infringement, regardless of whether the material or activity is ultimately determined to be infringing.
